- While on the last shoots of 'The Lord of the Rings: The
Return of the King' and unfortunatly his bow broke, he
told Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh and Peter replied
"Looks like it's coming to the end now isn't
it?".
- On the set of 'The Lord of the Rings' he was always keen
to work with Liv Tyler ("Arwen").
- Originally auditioned for the role of Faramir in 'The
Lord of the Rings' but Peter Jackson and Phillipa Boyens
thought he would be perfect for the role of Legolas, so
the role of Faramir went to David Wenham.
- Broke his rib while riding a horse in 'The Lord of the
Rings' but still had to run across the plains of Rohan.
Peter Jackson said when he called "Cut" he
would hear Orlando coming off camera clutching his ribs
and moaning.
- While he is listed as much taller officially (see above),
Bloom's height has become an issue of discussion at web
sites including bigheadedpygmies.com, which suggest he is
below average in height.
